"In Springfield, they are eating the dogs. The people that came in, they are eating the cats. They’re eating – they are eating the pets of the people that live there."
Donald J. Trump, during a presidential debate with Vice President Kamala Harris on September 10, 2024.
Trump repeats the same lies relentlessly
Unlike other politicians, Trump repeats falsehoods hundreds of times (his record is 493 times) — even after they are publicly disproven. The Washington Post
But don’t other politicians lie?

Trump lost the 2020 election. He claimed victory anyway and pressured institutions to overturn the results. See the myth that The 2020 Election was Rigged.
Trump mistakenly tweeted a warning to Alabama about hurricane Dorian. He held a press conference and altered an official NOAA map with a Sharpie to cover the mistake. Then he pressured the agency to support the lie — during an active storm.
